Black-backed Jackal Safari

This Botswana safari offers exceptional value for money and concentrates on different areas of Chobe, Savute and the Okavango Delta; with a mixture of semi-permanent tented accommodation, and a safari lodge. Stay for a total of 6 nights in three top safari game camps: Chobe under Canvas, Savute under Canvas and Sandibe Camp. All of these camps run their game drives using expert guides.

The trip is an individual trip, and can be tailor-made and adapted to suit you.

This Botswana safari can also easily be combined with a visit to see the Victoria Falls. See our trips to Livingstone for examples of the add-on options, and their costs.

Day 1
Starting from London Heathrow, your scheduled overnight flight takes you to Johannesburg.

Days 2-3 Chobe National Park, Botswana
Chobe Under Canvas In Jo'burg you'll connect to a scheduled Air Botswana flight to Kasane. From there you'll be driven to your first camp Chobe under Canvas in the Chobe National Park. You'll be based here for 2 nights of top game-viewing and a very authentic experience at –
Chobe Under Canvas

Days 4-5 Chobe National Park, Botswana
Savute Under Canvas A light air transfer then takes you from Chobe to your next camp which will be situated in one of two locations depending on the time of year; Savute (still in the Chobe National Park) or Moremi Game Reserve will be your next base. Either of these mobile camps will offer a different experience from the previous two nights spent in the Chobe. The Savute Channel provides a watery lifeline to the otherwise arid environment here while Moremi Game Reserve is filled with contrasting wetland areas dotted with 'dry' islands of elevated land covered with thick stands of vegetation and towering real fan palms. With an abundance of wildlife and plenty of beautiful landscapes this is a fantastic stop off for the 2 nights at either –
Savute Under Canvas

Days 6-7 Okavango Delta Safari Reserves, Botswana
Sandibe Safari Lodge After a game drive back to your respective airstrip, and a flight of roughly half an hour, you land at Chitabe Airstrip (shared by Sandibe). It is about a half hour drive through forests and open flood plains to camp – although you'll probably take longer as you stop for game. Your camp for the reminder of your trip is situated on the banks of the Santantadibe River and provides an extremely comfortable base from which to explore the surrounding area by boat and game-drive. For these 2 nights your stay will be at –
Sandibe Safari Lodge

Day 8
After a short (typically 20 minutes') light aircraft flight back to Maun, you'll connect with your Air Botswana flight to Jo'burg, and then board a scheduled overnight flight back to London Heathrow.

Day 9
Arrive back in London Heathrow, early in the morning. You've the whole day to get yourself home – and reflect on your super Botswana safari.
