Stay in luxury accommodation throughout this 10-night itinerary, which explores Lake Manyara National Park, Ngorongoro Crater and two different areas of the Serengeti National Park; expect breathtaking views and spectacular wildlife as you travel through northern Tanzania with your own knowledgeable -superior guide and 4WD vehicle.

Day 1
Depart London Heathrow with British Airways to Dar es Salaam, on an overnight flight.

Days 2-4 Ngorongoro Crater & Conservation Area, Tanzania
Plantation Lodge On arrival, transfer to the domestic terminal and fly up to Arusha on a 12-seater aircraft. When you land, your private superior guide will meet you with a 4WD vehicle. Plantation Lodge (full board & activities)
Plantation Lodge is perfectly located to explore both the Ngorongoro Crater and also Lake Manyara National Park. Spend one full day on safari in Manyara – which is a small yet wonderfully diverse park where you often find good numbers of game including elephant, buffalo and even tree climbing lions. Then on your second full day – drive up to the edge of the worlds largest intact volcanic caldera, the Ngorongoro Crater. Stop to take in the magnificent view from the rim, before descending down onto the grassy plains to get close to the abundant and relaxed game that is found here.

Days 5-6 Serengeti Migration Area, Tanzania
Choose whether to get up early or have a more leisurely start, then after breakfast head off in your 4WD vehicle. Drive into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, past the Maasai villages and herds of cattle – before descending onto the short grass plains of the southern Serengeti. Sayari South (full board & activities)
With your private superior guide and own vehicle, explore this area at your own pace. Stop for as long as you want to, to look at the things that interest you. You can even head out for the entire day – stopping somewhere cool for a bush picnic.

Days 7-9 Serengeti Migration Area, Tanzania
Grumeti River Camp Drive deeper into the Serengeti – further away from the busier centre of the park, before reaching an area known as the Western Corridor. During the months of May through to July – this area is home to the migrating herds of wildebeest. It is also here where you might be fortunate enough to see the exciting and electric crossings. Grumeti River Camp (full board & activities)
During your stay at Grumeti River Camp - you will use the camps own vehicle and resident guides. The guides here have fantastic local knowledge and are amongst the best you will find in Tanzania. Head out on game drives, hoping to see a crossing or just to enjoy the areas excellent resident wildlife.

Day 10
Drive to the nearest airstrip and catch a light flight to Arusha. From here, either continue on to one of our beach add-ons in Zanzibar, Pemba, Ras Kutani or the Mafia Archipelago, or transfer across to Kilimanjaro Airport by car. Here you will connect with your flight to Nairobi and then meet your British Airways overnight flight back to London.

Day 11
Arrive back in London early in the morning having thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful safari, with ample time to make the final leg of your journey home.

• Because this is based on a private vehicle and guide, the costs for this trip would reduce if more than two people are travelling. Conversely, they would increase substantially if only one person is travelling alone.
• There is a flight supplement of £181per person from 19th July – 18th August
• From the 17th March until mid-December, Sayari South is closed and hence this itinerary uses Serengeti Safari Camp instead.
• There is a supplement of £113 per person during February for this safari.
