Flamingo fly-in



This ten day fly-in itinerary combines three great Namibian highlights: the spectacular apricot coloured sand dunes at Sossusvlei in the Namib Desert, captivating game viewing in Etosha National Park, and close encounters with predators at Okonjima - the AfriCat Foundation.

Day 1
Starting from London Heathrow, your scheduled South African Airways flight will take you via Johannesburg to Windhoek, where you land the following day.

Days 2-3 Namib-Naukluft National Park, Namibia
Kulala Desert Lodge You are met on arrival at Windhoek Airport before boarding your light aircraft flight to the Namib Desert. Days 7-8 Central Highlands, Namibia
Okonjima Bush Camp It's less than an hour's flight south over the rolling Central Highlands to reach your next destination at the base of the Omboroko Mountains. Here you'll gain an insight into the dedicated work of the AfriCat Foundation and have the opportunity to see some of Namibia's magnificent predators up close. The foundation focuses mainly on the conservation and research of leopard and cheetah.   • This itinerary can be tailor-made to suit you – though note that most flight routes travel in a clockwise direction around Namibia's main highlights. You can opt to add additional nights at the existing lodges and/or extend the itinerary to include more Namibian highlights – call us to discuss options.
  • This safari usually visits Ongava Lodge, but this can be substituted for Ongava Tented Camp, subject to availability at the time of booking.
  • Flight upgrades to World Traveller Plus or Business Class are usually easy to arrange; ask us for details.
  • The prices shown are per person sharing in double or twin rooms; call us for single person supplements.

This itinerary includes:
  • Scheduled economy flights between London Heathrow and Windhoek (via Johannesburg), plus airport departure taxes.
  • All transfers in Namibia, including light aircraft flights between lodges and airport transfers.

  • Most drinks whilst staying at Kulala Desert Lodge and Ongava Lodge (soft drinks, house wines and local beers and spirits).

This itinerary excludes:
  • Tips (which are optional).
