Fly-catcher safari

This short but action-packed fly-in safari is perfect if you've only got a little time, but want a taste of Tanzania's best – it concentrates on the world-famous Serengeti, spending 4 nights split between two totally different areas, staying in two small, luxury, tented bushcamps; expect some of the most spectacular game viewing Tanzania has to offer!

It includes international flights, and you can easily add any of our beach add-ons to this, to make it into a longer 'safari & beach' holiday.

Day 1
Depart London Heathrow on you scheduled, British Airways overnight flight to Dar es Salaam, and onwards flight to Seronera, in the heart of the Serengeti.

Days 2-3 Serengeti Migration Area, Tanzania
Olakira Camp You arrive at an airstrip near to your camp in the Serengeti, around mid-morning where a superior guide collects you, for your game drive back to camp. Then spend a packed 2 nights exploring the vast plains of the Serengeti National Park from in an open-topped 4WD vehicle with a guide who knows this part of the park intimately.
Each evening you'll head back to your luxury bushcamp….
Olakira Camp (full board & activities)
From December through to March the camp is located in Ndutu on the Serengeti's southern plains. Then between June and November the camp moves north. This aims to position the camp in the best possible area to catch the great wildebeest migration.

Days 4-5 Serengeti Migration Area, Tanzania
Sayari Mara Camp In the morning, fly up to the very far north of the Serengeti close to the Mara River and Kenyan border. This remote location sees very few visitors and so offers a superb wilderness experience. The game here is good throughout the year, however between the months of August and October the wildebeest gather in their herds in order to cross the river in frenzied panic! You can also do safari walks from this camp which are a real highlight. Spend 2 nights at the luxury…

Day 6
After a relaxing breakfast, it's a few hours' game drive back across the Serengeti to your airstrip, for a flight back to Kilimanjaro Airport. There you connect with a flight back to Nairobi, and thence return overnight British Airways to London (or, alternatively, continue on to one of our beach add-on trips – see below for island ideas).

Day 7
Arrive back at London Heathrow early in the morning, with plenty of time to catch onward connections home.
