This 7-night safari explores the western Serengeti National Park; fly into this stunning national park to experience some of the finest game viewing in Tanzania, whilst staying in top-notch lodges.

If you want to catch the great migration in the Serengeti, then ideal timing for this trip would be around April to July – when it's usually in the Western Corridor. Alternatively, if you're visiting between about October and December, then consider the very similar Golden Oriole II fly-in safari as an alternative to this trip.

Day 1

Depart London Heathrow on an overnight British Airways flight to the Serengeti, via Dar es Salaam.

Days 2-3 Serengeti Migration Area, Tanzania

Arrive at Klein's Airstrip, where you will be met by your superior guide. You will be transferred to the lodge to freshen up if you're not too captivated by the wonderful views from the fabulous….

Kleins Camp (full board & activities)

During your 2-night stay, you'll enjoy game drives in the Serengeti experiencing some fantastic game and endless views of the surrounding plains. Then return to indulge in the pure luxury of this lovely lodge.

Days 4-6 Serengeti Migration Area, Tanzania

Have a relaxing start to the day with an excellent breakfast overlooking Loliondo Game Controlled Area, before transfering by road to your next location. You will be able to enjoy a game drive on your way to the semi permanent...

Serengeti under Canvas (full board & activities)

During your 3-night stay, enjoy excellent game drives in an area where the permanent wildlife is abundant. Here you will be able to enjoy the relaxed feel of a tented camp but with a few luxuries.

Day 7

After an early morning game drive, fly back to Kilimanjaro Airport and then either continue onto one of our beach holiday add-ons, or connect with your afternoon British Airways flight to London.

Day 8

Land at London Heathrow in the morning - with plenty of time to make onward connections to home.

• As with all of our trips, you need to organise your own visas. Currently (Jan 2012) holders of British passports do need a visa for Tanzania, which can be obtained through the Tanzanian High Commission in London prior to travel.
