Goshawk fly-in safari



This 14 day fly-in itinerary offers a wonderful overview of Namibia's remarkable and varied highlights; including the giant sand dunes at Sossusvlei, the striking landscapes and desert-adapted wildlife of Damaraland, exciting game drives in Etosha National Park, and the remote wonders of the Skeleton Coast - staying in luxury accommodation throughout.

Day 1
Begin your journey on a scheduled overnight flight with South African Airways from London Heathrow to Windhoek, via Johannesburg.

Day 2 Windhoek, Namibia
Heinitzburg Hotel You're met on arrival at Windhoek Airport before your road transfer into Windhoek for an overnight stay. It's a short walk or taxi ride into the city centre if you'd like to explore the shops, cafés and craft stalls or you may prefer to spend a leisurely afternoon by the hotel pool. Days 5-6 Damaraland, Namibia
Damaraland Camp This morning you take a light aircraft flight with spectacular views across the great dunes of the Namib Desert and the Atlantic Coast. Days 7-8 Etosha National Park, Namibia

Notes:
  • This itinerary can be tailor-made to suit you – though note that most flight routes travel in a clockwise direction around Namibia's main highlights. You can opt to add nights at the existing lodges and/or extend the itinerary to include more Namibian highlights such as Swakopmund on the coast, Serra Cafema in the north-west and Okonjima on the way back to Windhoek.
  • This fly-in safari usually includes the classic camp, Kulala Desert Lodge, whilst in the Namib Desert. This year guests will automatically be upgraded to the luxurious premier camp Little Kulala (subject to availability), as noted in the above itinerary, at no additional charge! However, if you'd prefer to stay at Kulala Desert Lodge please speak to us to arrange this.
  • This safari usually visits Damaraland Camp and Ongava Tented Camp but these may be substituted for Desert Rhino Camp and Ongava Lodge, subject to availability at the time of booking.
  • The three night stay at Skeleton Coast Camp must begin on a Wednesday as fly-in's to this camp are strictly scheduled to regulate the number of visitors to this protected wilderness area.

  • Flight upgrades to World Traveller Plus or Business Class are usually easy to arrange; ask us for details.
  • The prices shown are per person sharing in double or twin rooms; call us for single person supplements.

This itinerary includes:
  • Economy flights between London Heathrow and Windhoek (via Johannesburg), plus airport departure taxes.
  • All transfers in Namibia, including light aircraft flights as described and airport transfers.
  • All your meals and scheduled activities whilst staying at Little Kulala, Damaraland Camp, Ongava Tented Camp and Skeleton Coast Camp.
  • Breakfast only whilst staying at Heinitzburg Hotel in Windhoek.
