Green turtle add-on

This great beach add-on trip spends 6 nights at Marlin Lodge on Benguerra Island in Mozambique's Bazaruto Archipelago, and includes return flights from/to Johannesburg – it's a perfect beach break to add on to one of our safaris to Botswana, or our trips to Namibia or Zambia, with an emphasis on excellent water-sports and activities available at Marlin Lodge

The flights from Johannesburg to Mozambique, which are integral to this trip, depart in the morning. Because of this, most travellers will overnight in Johannesburg prior to this trip – and many will connect directly through to international flights on their return.

Day 1 Bazaruto Archipelago, Mozambique
Marlin Lodge Your scheduled flight from Johannesburg to Mozambique, with Pelican Air, usually leaves at about 10:20 in the morning. By around 13:00 you are in Vilanculos, where you are driven to the harbour, to meet a boat to the islands. Barely half an hour later, you step onto the beach at...

Do save at least one afternoon for a visit to Marlin's small but high-quality spa, which offers a variety of beauty treatments and massages (payable locally).

Day 7
After your last morning's relaxed breakfast, you'll take a boat back to Vilanculos (usually about 25 minutes), followed by a short drive to Vilanculos Airport – arriving there around 13:00.

Your flight to Johannesburg usually leaves at about 14:00, and arrives in Johannesburg International Airport (O.R. Tambo) at about 16:30 – in perfect time to connect to overnight flights from Jo'burg back to Europe.
