| Rhino Lodge (full board & activities) |
| Spend a full day on safari in the Ngorongoro Crater – a World Heritage Site and vast intact volcanic caldera. It is certainly one of the world's most spectacular natural wonders and has vast numbers of game grazing on its grassy plains. Lake Magadi in the centre of the Crater is often filled with flamingos, the open plains are alive with herds of zebra and wildebeest, hyenas prowl well worn paths, elephants with gigantic tusks feed in the acacia woodlands and the lions here are so relaxed that in the heat of the day they sometimes even use safari vehicles for shade! |
Depart after breakfast and drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and down onto the drier plains of the southern Serengeti. The first part of your journey travels through communal land where red-swathed Maasai mix with passing herds of antelope. Eventually you arrive at the remote... |
| Lobo Wildlife Lodge (full board & activities) |
| Deep in the heart of the Serengeti's quieter northern area, the lodge stands high up on a Kopje overlooking the Lobo plains. There is great resident game here throughout the year, but from late-July to September and then November and December, the plains come alive with the great wildebeest migration. You have your own private 4WD and superior guide so can explore this productive area at your own pace. |
|
Drive to the nearby Lobo Airstrip and catch a light aircraft flight to Kilimanjaro Airport in Arusha. From here, either continue on to one of our beach add-ons in Pemba, Zanzibar, or the peaceful Mafia Island, or connect with your flight to Nairobi and on to London with Kenya Airways. |
