Honey Badger Safari
This diverse Botswana safari uses three top safari camps to explore three contrasting areas over a total of 9 nights: first it visits Tau Pan Camp, in the dry heart of the Central Kalahari Game Reserve; then it hops to the lush Xakanaxa Camp, beside one of the Okavango Delta's largest lagoons, in Moremi Game Reserve; before the trip's finale: time in the top safari area at Kwara Camp. These areas give the visit a real contrast of landscapes and environments, with equally different experiences of the game and birdlife. This is an individual trip, and can be tailor-made and adapted to suit you. This safari to Botswana can easily be combined with a visit to see the Victoria Falls. See our trips to Livingstone for examples of the add-on options, and their costs.

Starting from London Heathrow, your scheduled overnight flight takes you to Johannesburg. |
In Jo'burg you connect to a scheduled Air Botswana flight to Maun, where you are met and swiftly flown south by light aircraft to the Central Kalahari Game Reserve. When you land, the airstrip is a short game drive to your new base, Tau Pan Camp which sits on a sand ridge overlooking a filled waterhole and the expansive Tau Pan. You usually arrive in time for a late lunch or tea, and are based here for 3 nights. Click below for further details of- |

After your morning activity at Tau Pan, you will be transferred by 4WD to the airstrip for a flight onto your next camp, the picturesque Xakanaxa Camp, which is situated on the banks of the Xakanaxa Lagoon in Moremi Game Reserve. You are based here for 3 nights, in a lush environment which contrasts greatly with the stark Kalahari. You can explore the waterways of the Delta by boat and mokoro, and the land area by 4WD. After a morning game activity at Xakanaxa, there's an amazing motorboat trip through papyrus-lined channels and lagoons to a private concession, where you will spend your next 3 nights' at Kwara Camp. There's a wide choice of activities here. 4WD safaris and night drives all come complete with a guide and a tracker - another set of experienced eyes, which makes tracking predators here an exciting prospect. Kwara also offers mokoro and boat trips, sometimes on a unique double-decker boat, for great views over the papyrus channels. For further details of Kwara, click below – |
