Pangolin safari

This excellent Botswana safari concentrates on two great game areas: the dry Kwando Reserve, and the Okavango Delta, and you will stay for a total of 7 nights in three top safari game camps: Kwando Lagoon, Lebala and Kwara. All of these camps run their game drives using expert trackers as well as guides. Although the bird-watching is excellent, the trip really focuses more on big game – in areas which have excellent populations of lion, leopard, cheetah and, especially, wild dogs. The trip is an individual trip – not a group trip – so talk to us to tailor-make something similar for you.

This Botswana safari can also easily be combined with a visit to see the Victoria Falls. See our trips to Livingstone for examples of the add-on options, and their costs.

Day 1
Starting from London Heathrow, your scheduled overnight flight takes you to Johannesburg.

Days 2-3 Kwando-Linyanti area, Botswana
Lagoon Camp In Jo'burg you connect to a 2-hour scheduled Air Botswana flight to Maun, where you are met before flying by light aircraft to the wild Kwando Reserve. You usually arrive in time for a late lunch, and are based here by the Kwando River for 2 nights at the -

Days 4-5 Kwando-Linyanti area, Botswana
Lebala Camp After your morning activity, you head south on a 4WD game-drive transfer. This takes a few hours, depending on what wildlife you see, and you will observe the landscape changing as the journey progresses. More open plains will appear, and more of the game that frequents that environment. Your base for the next 2 nights is –
Lebala Camp (full board & activities)

Days 6-8 Okavango Delta Safari Reserves, Botswana
Kwara Camp From Lebala, you drive to the airstrip for a short light-aircraft hop to Kwara Reserve, in the Okavango Delta. When you land, the airstrip is barely five minutes' drive from Kwara Camp, which is tucked into the leafy shade of a tree island, in the middle of vast open floodplains. Day 9
After a short (typically 20 minutes') light aircraft flight back to Maun, you'll connect with your Air Botswana flight to Jo'burg, and then board your scheduled overnight flight back to London Heathrow.

Day 10
Arrive back in London Heathrow, early in the morning. You've the whole day to get yourself home – and reflect on your super Botswana safari.
