This itinerary includes many of Namibia's more offbeat destinations including: Mundulea Nature Reserve, a beautiful area where walks are guided by one of they country's best guides; the Palmwag Concession where activities concentrate on tracking black rhino on foot with Save the Rhino Trust guides; and the impressive Erongo Mountains where you can mix bird-watching with walking. There is also time to explore Etosha National Park, one of Africa's best game reserves, and learn more about the conservation of Namibia's big cats with the AfriCat Foundation.

Erongo Wilderness Lodge On arrival at the airport, pick up your hire car and drive for around 3½ hours (almost all tarred roads) into the Erongo Mountains. Relax amidst rugged kopjies, perhaps joining a guided walk to the top of one of the granite hills, where you can enjoy the sunset from this perfect vantage point. You'll stay for 1 night at …

Okaukuejo Restcamp After the return 2 hour 4WD transfer to your vehicle, it is about 3½ hours' drive to reach Etosha National Park. Much of the park's landscape is open and most of Africa's big-game is found here; animals are easy to spot on this self-drive holiday. Namutoni Restcamp Spend a full day driving from the west to the eastern side of the park, stopping at Halali Restcamp to have lunch and take a dip in the pool. Days 11-13 Central Highlands, Namibia
Mundulea Reserve After a final morning game in Etosha it is about a 2 hour drive to the Mundulea Reserve in the Otavi Mountains.
