This 2 night stay near the Victoria Falls is designed to be easily combined with a safari to Botswana or Zambia: you stay at the romantic Sindabezi which is Tongabezi's private island on the Zambezi river, about 15km upstream from the Victoria Falls in Zambia.

Days 1-2 Livingstone & Victoria Falls, Zambia

Arriving at Kasane Airport across the border in Botswana, or at Livingstone Airport in Zambia, you'll be met and transferred to Sindabezi Island by road and boat for your 2 night stay. During your time on this magical island you can spend time fishing, on boat trip, canoeing or lunching on secluded islands. Further afield you can visit a local village and school, explore Livingstone and view the Victoria Falls. Click below for details of the lodge itself –

Sindabezi (full board & activities)

For an additional cost you can arrange to raft the wild Zambezi River below the Falls or bungee jump off the Victoria Falls bridge. The team at Sindabezi will help you book these extra activities.

Day 3

If you are at the end of your trip, you will fly from Livingstone back to London via Johannesburg. If just beginning, you will be transferred across to Botswana or to one of the wildlife reserves in Zambia to head off onto your chosen Botswana safari or Zambia Safari. Either way, your transfers to your onward connection are included in the costs noted for this add-on.

This itinerary includes:

• Road, air and/or boat transfers to link this short add-on to a longer Botswana safari or a Zambia safari.
• Your stay on Sindabezi Island includes all your meals, local drinks (including beers and locally produced spirits), a visit to the Zambian side of Victoria Falls, sunrise and sunset boat trips on the Zambezi River, canoe excursions, fishing, game drives in the nearby Mosi-oa-Tunya Game Park (park fees are an additional US$10 per person), lunch on Chundu Island with guided walks, walks in the gorge below the Falls (park fees are extra) and a visit to a local village and/or school.

This itinerary excludes:

• Champagne, specially imported spirits, fine vintage wines and similarly exotic alcoholic drinks.
• Tips (which are optional).
• Zambian airport departure taxes; normally US$25 per person for international departures and US$11 per person for domestic departures.
• Activities in the Livingstone area that are not run by Sindabezi, for example white-water rafting, bungee-jumping and flights of angels over the Falls.
• International flights to or within Africa
