Sitatunga safari

This excellent Botswana safari concentrates on two great game areas: the dry Kwando Reserve, and the much lusher Okavango Delta, where you will stay for a total of 9 nights in three top safari game camps: Nxabega Camp, Sandibe Safari Lodge, and Lebala Camp. Although the bird-watching is first-rate in these reserves, the trip really focuses more on big game – in areas which have excellent populations of lion, leopard, cheetah and, especially, wild dog. The trip is an individual trip – not a group trip – so talk to us to tailor-make a similar holiday for you.

This Botswana safari can also easily be combined with a visit to Zambia to see the Victoria Falls. See our trips to Livingstone for examples of the add-on options, and the costs.

Day 1
A scheduled overnight flight takes you from London Heathrow to Johannesburg.

Days 2-4 Okavango Delta Safari Reserves, Botswana
Nxabega Safari Camp Departing Johannesburg, a 2-hour scheduled Air Botswana flight takes you to Maun, where you transfer to a light aircraft flight to the pretty Nxabega Reserve. It's only a short game drive from the airstrip to the camp where you usually arrive in time for a late lunch. You will be based for 3 nights at the lovely -
Nxabega Safari Camp (full board & activities)

Days 5-7 Okavango Delta Safari Reserves, Botswana
Sandibe Safari Lodge After your morning activity at Nxabega, you will board a small plane for a short hop to your next camp. The Sandibe Reserve includes a variety of landscapes where you will search for wildlife with your knowledgeable guide. We recommend that you also take a ride on the unique electrical boat which cruises silently along the Santantadibe River during your 3-night stay at –

Days 8-10 Kwando-Linyanti area, Botswana
Lebala Camp From Sandibe, you take a light aircraft flight north to the Kwando Reserve. The open savannah, woodlands and shallow lagoons that make up this landscape are home to a wide variety of bird and wild life. It is a particularly good area for predators which you and your guide search out during your 3 night stay at –

Day 11
After a light aircraft flight back to Maun, you'll connect with your Air Botswana flight to Johannesburg, where you board a scheduled overnight flight back to the UK.

Day 12
Arrive back in London Heathrow, early in the morning. You've the whole day to get yourself home – and reflect on your super holiday to Botswana.
