This Botswana safari visits two contrasting areas of the Okavango Delta before spending three nights in the northern Kwando Reserve, especially renowned for its predator sightings. Over a period of 8 nights you will visit Pom Pom, Kwara and Kwando Lagoon Camp. Both Kwara and Lagoon use expert trackers as well as knowledgeable guides on their activities whilst Pom Pom is situated in a particularly pretty part of the delta.

Day 1

Begin with a convenient overnight flight from London Heathrow to Johannesburg.

Days 2-4 Okavango Delta Safari Reserves, Botswana

After a relatively short transit period in Jo'burg it's only a 2-hour flight with Air Botswana to Maun. Your safari starts when you board a light aircraft for a scenic flight over the Okavango Delta to your first camp. Spend 3 nights exploring forests, open plains, permanent channels and lush flood meadows on guided walks, boat trips and mekoro (dug-out canoe) excursions or enjoy a game drive from -

Days 5-6 Okavango Delta Safari Reserves, Botswana

After a morning activity you take a short flight transfer to the northern reaches of the delta. Here you'll find superb wildlife viewing through dry open areas surrounded by floodplains. A network of lagoons and deep water channels also offer the chance to explore by boat, its particularly worth visiting the nearby Gcodikwe Lagoon where the heronry is a real spectacle from Sept to Jan, during your 2-night stay at –

Kwara Camp (full board & activities)

Days 7-9 Kwando-Linyanti area, Botswana

Leaving the lush delta behind you, fly north to the Kwando Reserve for 3 nights on the banks of the Kwando River. The river is regularly used by herds of elephants for drinking and frolicking during the drier months (Jul – Oct) and you can take time enjoying this sight between safari drives through the varied landscapes found near -

Day 10

After a last activity, it's around at 50-minute light aircraft transfer back to Maun. A 2-hour scheduled Air Botswana flight takes you to Johannesburg where you connect onto a scheduled overnight flight back to Heathrow.

Day 11

You'll arrive early at London Heathrow giving you plenty of time to travel home, hopefully with plenty of memories from a superb Botswana holiday.
