After your safari, relax on the island of Zanzibar during this 7 night getaway; spend 5 nights at the excellent Matemwe Bungalows, which stands atop a small coral cliff with an isolated beach below, then enjoy a further 2 nights experiencing the fascinating culture of Stone Town.

This trip includes transfers from and back to Dar es Salaam, but no international flights. It is designed to add onto the end of one of our Tanzania safaris to create a great trip with two very separate parts: a bush safari and a beach break.

Days 1-5 East Coast Zanzibar, Zanzibar

After finishing your chosen safari hop onto a light aircraft to Zanzibar where your driver will meet you and take you on to your beach break. During this 60-minute journey you drive along palm-tree lined roads and pass through many small villages which can give you an insight into local Zanzibarian life…

Matemwe Lodge (full board)

Relax at this quiet and isolated beach side location in the north east of Zanzibar for 5 nights. Swim in the turquoise sea or one of the two swimming pools and lounge in the hammocks at this stylish yet pleasantly informal place.

Days 6-7 Stone Town, Zanzibar

Zanzibar Palace Hotel (bed & breakfast)

This beautiful boutique hotel is ideally located for meandering around Stone Town on foot. During your 2 night stay here you can easily reach the shops, markets and museums that help to make this place so magical.

Day 8

From Stone Town's, drive to Zanzibar Airport and catch an early morning flight that connects with your international daytime flight from Dar es Salaam Airport to London with British Airways.
