Yellow Mongoose Safari

This good value Botswana safari divides its time between Banoka Bush Camp in the Khwai area, on the border of the Moremi Game Reserve and Saile Tented Camp in the Chobe Enclave; over a period of 6 nights. The Khwai area is exceptionally diverse in terms of habitat and Banoka has a great variety of activities on offer - and while both of these camps use good guides, Saile Tented Camp prides themselves on particularly strong guiding. Explore the bush in open 4x4 safari vehicles, by mokoro and on foot, in search of lion, leopard, wild dogs, elephants and more.

This Botswana safari can also easily be combined with a visit to see the Victoria Falls. See our trips to Livingstone for examples of the add-on options, and their costs.

The trip is an individual trip, and can be tailor-made and adapted to suit you.

Day 1
A scheduled overnight flight takes you from London Heathrow to Johannesburg.

Day 2 Okavango Delta Safari Reserves, Botswana
Banoka Bush Camp After a quick transit in Jo'burg you connect onto a two hour flight with Air Botswana to Maun. Arrive in Maun and transfer to a light aircraft for your scenic flight over the Okavango Delta. It's currently about a 2hr game drive transfer from the airstrip to camp, although an airstrip closer to the camp is scheduled to be completed in the first half of 2012. Spend 3 nights here on safari drives, night drives, mokoro excursions and seasonal boat trips to explore the area. Day trips into some of the higher density game-viewing areas of the Moremi Game Reserve can be arranged from -
Banoka Bush Camp (full board & activities)

Day 3 Kwando-Linyanti area, Botswana
Saile Tented Camp After a game drive transfer back to the airstrip, take a light aircraft flight lasting approx. 30 minutes to the Chobe Enclave in the northern Linyanti region. In the dry season, this area is frequented by herds of buffalo and elephant and is particularly well-known for its concentration of aardvarks. Spend 3 nights in an intimate camp with only four tents, overlooking the Linyanti Marshes at –

Day 4
Fly back to Maun where you'll connect with the scheduled Air Botswana flight to Johannesburg. From here it's an easy scheduled overnight flight back to the UK.

Day 5
It is an early arrival in London Heathrow giving you the whole day to travel home and time to reflect on your superb Botswana holiday.
