Birgo Guest House has six superior rooms...
Superior room
The six Superior rooms at Birgo Guest House are divided between two facing terraces which line the central garden path. Beyond the broad shared veranda, the room interiors are all similar in décor and colour, with pale laminate timber floors, lemon and lilac walls and heavy dark wood furniture. Colourful scenes of La Digue island life adorn the walls, whilst coral specimens and soap stone hippos show thoughtful decoration attempts. There is a double bed in all of these rooms, with plenty space for an additional single, but no mosquito nets for those fearful of insects. Both air-conditioning and ceiling fans keep the rooms cool.
Each superior room at Birgo has a clean en-suite bathroom with a shower behind a raised granite surround. The veranda has a white wrought iron table and chairs for breakfasts and relaxation, and there's also a pair of portable deck chairs, if a seat in the sun is preferred.
The Superior rooms at Birgo Guest House are perfectly adequate for the price range, though guests with bad backs may suffer from the soft, older mattresses in these rooms, and may prefer the more modern, recently added Deluxe rooms .
