Camps Bay Retreat review
Excellent room - lovely food - restaurant slightly lacking in character - helpful staff - superb taxi service !!

An ideal place to finish (or start) a holiday, peaceful and relaxing with very attentive and friendly staff.
Very good food which we would say was probably the best of the trip - where the food was good at every location we stopped.
At Camps Bay retreat you can enjoy all the pleasures of Camps Bay in comfortable, peaceful and safe surroundings just a short walk from the beach and center of the town.
We even enjoyed some unexpected whale watching from the lawn.
This place was a big error !
God place to be in summer.
Good will of hotel manager to change us to another place of the same group of hotels in the water front of Cape Town.
What we wanted was to be in the Water front and not in the Sea Front that by mistake we asked for !
Anyhow the Hotel was in bad conditions due to works that where going on.
Not recomendable for this time of the year.
Expert Africa comments
There was an obvious miscommunication between what these travellers expected and what was booked. Whilst we at Expert Africa always do our best to suggest suitable accommodation to our travellers, occasionally this does not go to plan. This happened in this instance where a sea front property was arranged rather than a property near the Waterfront area. We were pleased that the manager of Camps Bay Retreat was quickly able to arrange an alternative for these travellers to allow them to enjoy the remainder of their holiday near Cape Town Waterfront, as they had hoped to do.
Camps Bay Retreat review
Too faraway from Cape Town for a short stay of 3 days. Old fashion decoration.Poorly heated for cold weather periods.
