On a small peninsula near Knysna, Point Lodge occupies a prime position overlooking the famous Knysna Lagoon – which attracts large flocks of migrant wading birds and is home to an endemic species of sea horse.
It's a friendly guesthouse with just nine rooms and a lovely swimming pool.
Breakfast is provided and for dinner there are numerous excellent restaurants nearby.
