Basic but great location

As we expected, the cabin was quite basic, but absolutely fine. And definitely worth it in order to stay in that location.

Were surprised by how good the restaurant in the camp was. And the pool was really good (and unexpected) too.

Storms River Restcamp review

Unfortunately the room next to ours was being refurbished - in a very noisy manner with an early start.

I wish we had bought something to barbecue

The cabin was lovely and if we had been better prepared we would have bought barbecue in advance although we ecould have purchased some things ( limited range ) in shop.

Food in restauarant was average but scenery made up for all.
the suspension bridge was closed becasue of landslip so one of the walks could not be done.

Storms River Restcamp - a very apt name

Due to the weather and rough seas we first wondered why we had chosen this place, till we saw whales dolphins and a seal wwhilst sitting in the lounge area of the chalet. An amazing view where you need never venture from your accomodation.

Semi detached chalet with inter-connecting door Ok if you were a family but apart from having to speak quietly it did'nt present a problem.

Great area for walking but you need to be fit. Very well equipped and clean chalet. Restaurant served good food and shop well supplied. Popular with coaches every day for lunch and shopping.

Storms River

Great place to end our trip, its all about location. Brilliant walks and vegetation, great place to unwind after all the luxury guest houses.

A place not to be missed.

Honeymoons at our age!

We were allocated the 3 honeymoon chalets, which seemed strange as we arre all pensioners. However, the chalets were excellent with plenty of space and equipment for 4 people, again strange for honeymoon accommodation.

The views from the chalets were superb. It was about 15 min walk to the restaurant which was worrying as the weather was changeable. The food and service in the restaurant was good but not as good as Karoo and Addo.
