"ape own to Namibia trip : Aug - Sep 2022"
Overall driving distance was about 4,250km so it was a tough schedule, but everything we expected (and a quite a bit more).
Managed to see and pass through stunning scenery, stop at interesting places and observe a variety of wildlife from Southern Right whales in South Africa to the big cats in Namibia, not to mention the magnificent seasonal flora on display in the Namaqualand.
Everything was in place for us so minimising hassle." Read full review: 25 nights in Africa; 14 on a Namibia trip

"Jul 2022 trip to Zambia"
Early in our trip one member was ill and had to stay an additional day at our first lodge to recover. Maruska was on leave, but Expert Africa answered an email about the problem within 15 minutes. They were able to figure out rebooking the flights to our next camp as well as making sure that all parties involved knew of the problem and new schedule details.

"My Jul 2022 trip"
I can’t say enough about Maruska who worked with us since 2019 to make this trip happen.
We cancelled twice due to Covid, and we are so happy she stuck with us to see it through!
Her recommendations for where to go and how long to stay were spot on for this group. She always communicated in a clear and timely manner. Maruska, I’ll miss working with you!
I also want to give a shout out to Claire who was covering for Marusaka and who stepped in when we had to stay over an extra night in Victoria Falls due to my husband’s illness. She was able to change the flights so we could get to Tafika, she somehow seamlessly arranged the ground transportation to the airport in Livingstone, and when we finally arrived late in Mfuwe, there was someone from Tafika waiting to drive us the 2.5 hour ride to camp. And she checked back in to see how my husband was doing, as did Maruska while she was on her vacation!

"Jun/Jul 2022 trip Namibia/Zambia/Rwanda"
We weren't sure what to expect travelling to Africa so soon after international borders started to open again, but we were delighted with how quickly tourism has found its feet again in Namibia, Zambia and Rwanda. Our self drive in Namibia felt perfectly safe, and our first time to Zambia now won't be our last.
Claire did a great job with our covid delayed trip. Fantastic support on the trip with CV 19 testing issues for Rwanda as a result of delayed airlines. Accommodation particularly in Zambia was outstanding." Read full review: 29 nights in Africa; 15 on a Namibia trip
"My May 2022 trip"
I would have packed a little differently than I did. Taking 2 pair of thermal underwear would have been useful, as our nights and morning game drives were quite cold. We also had banking issues along the way. Even though we had given our bank all of our travel information we still had issues at ATMs. We should have brought far more cash with us than we did.
The people, the environment, and the animals were incredible!! Africa is something everyone should experience if they can.
We will go back!!!!!

"My - great - 60th birthday trip to Botswana "
So glad I included Makgadikgadi Salt Pans in my itinerary . What a great surprise. And what a nice camp, Camp Kalahari. And a meerkat experience which made me literally cry. Savute under Canvas was a bit of a disappointment. Due to the fact that this time the Savute channel was dry (no water - no life) and not the best guiding experience. Lebala I could have skipped without missing anything.
Great Plains offers superb wildlife experience. In very many ways. I have been very spoiled and lucky to have a car all to myself in both Duba plains and Selinda. Both are very pretty areas, and Duba plains even has a touch of magic.
I travelled alone and Botswana is a perfect and very safe destination. You travel alone, but are never alone. In the "posh" camps , people tempt to be a little bit more on their own, in the camps just below that level, all people join for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Logistics were arranged perfectly. Everybody knew when I was coming or going. It has been a wise - and very good - decision to book privates in several camps. Unique wildlife experience in your own pace. The " privates" in both Duba and Selinda were an extraordinary and great bonus." Read full review: 21 nights in Africa; 20 on a Botswana safari
