Motswiri Camp offers guests the opportunity to ride through big game areas. Join an excursion lasting a few hours or a longer 5- or 7-night horseback safari overnighting in relatively simple fly camps. There is a very serious and well-equipped equestrian centre at Sasakwa, Faru Faru's sister-lodge, and guests her can use all of its facilities. Currently this has 16 horses, English-style tack and a choice of English or Western saddles. Corona offers horse-riding in a very rugged and mountainous area – which we only suggest for experienced riders. It needs to be pre-booked, and riders should satisfy themselves about the safety precautions taken; this is a working farm, not a professional stable that concentrates on taking novices riding. - View lodge details

Horseriding is on offer at nearby Khande Beach (ten minutes drive away). All abilities of rider are welcome and the rides vary from an hour's forest ride to a three-hour bush, beach and swim ride (the horses love the water!). Bullsport is a working farm; it breeds Namibian horses, and is one of the few registered studs in Namibia. Riding lessons are available, as are short horse-riding trails and guided 1–3 day excursions into the Naukluft Mountains. It's a great place for keen riders. - View lodge details
