Meno A Kwena Kalahari's Salt Pans, Botswana
Meno A Kwena in Kalahari's Salt Pans, Botswana Each year, zebra migrate in their thousands between the Makgadigadi Pans and the new Makgadigadi fence which is as far as they can go. Meno A Kwena is one of the only water points in this area and zebra can be seen drinking here in their thousands during the dry season (Jun – Oct), together with numerous other species. The camp is a great spot to view predator on prey action as the resident Kalahari lions make the most of this feast. - View lodge details

Jao Camp in Okavango Delta Safari Reserves, Botswana Jao is best known as a water-based camp, for its excellent boat and mekoro trips, but also offers 4WD safaris on the dry-land areas within the Jao Reserve. Expect large herds of red lechwe, reedbuck and tsessebe – and smaller groups of buffalo and elephant. Big prides of lion are the norm, and leopard sightings are increasingly good. Obviously crocodile and hippo are abundant – and it's a good place to try and see sitatunga. - View lodge details
