Some of the Okavango's specials are found here, as well as highly unusual species like the rock pratincoles, which frequent the bubbling rapids. Other species you might be lucky enough to spot are the trumpeter hornbill, African skimmer, Schalow's turaco and Pel's fishing owl. - View lodge details

Bagatelle covers a stretch of typical Kalahari dunes. Cape turtle, laughing and Namaqua doves are common; white-quilled korhaan make spectacular displays in breeding season, and the ostriches are always magical. Raptors include the pale chanting goshawks, black-shouldered kites and the occasional rock kestrel. For an exotic touch, peacocks wander around the farmstead's gardens. - View lodge details

Huab’s great attraction for bird-watchers is the excellent guiding provided by the experienced Jan – who is one of Namibia’s best wildlife/birding guides. It’s also a good place to spot Hartlaub’s francolin, which is one of Namibia’s near-endemic species. (They are restricted to northeast Namibia and a small area of Angola!) - View lodge details
