Mata Mata is one of the few camps (the others are Twee Rivieren, Nossob and Kalahari Tented Camp) in the Kgalagadi where there is no age restriction; the camp is fenced, making it a good place for families to stay. Samara is very child friendly – with special activity programme for children, including walks, games and DVD's – plus a specific children's menu (put together by the owner's children!) which can be eaten early and baby-sitting is available.
