Sand Rivers is an excellent lodge for keen photographers. Nearby, they have a hide – raised up on stilts, and overlooking a large marshy area where guests can visit and stay alone for a few hours. The permanently wet, marshy area is frequented by a variety of wildlife – often in surprising numbers – from playful elephants and herds of giraffe coming down to drink, to a kaleidoscope of birds looking for food. Lobo Wildlife Lodge Serengeti Migration Area, Tanzania
Lobo's combination of a high vantage-point over the plains, and hugely photogenic lumps of rounded rock, make it a particularly good destination in the Serengeti for photographers. Ngaro Sero Lake Natron Camp Lake Natron, Tanzania
Lake Natrons scenery is spectacular and in the early mornings and late evenings, the light on the surrounding hills and volcano Oldoinyo Lengai is breathtaking. The flamingos on the lake also make for great photos, and if you ask politely (and pay a few dollars) the Maasai will allow you to take photos of them and their homes. - View lodge details

Moivaro Lake Natron Tented Camp Lake Natron, Tanzania
The landscape and scenery here is spectacular; volcanic mountains shoot straight up from flat plains and in the middle glistens Lake Natron. Get up early for the morning light and take some fantastic scenic shots. Ngorongoro Serena Safari Lodge Ngorongoro Crater & Conservation Area, Tanzania
