Perfect end
Fantastic in every way. Looks unassuming from the outside but the inside...WOW!
Service was the best we have ever experienced. Nothing was too much trouble and the service was very individual and personable.
Really enjoyed eating with the other guests.
The only down side was that we did not stay here longer.

Amazing contrast to Chole-it took a bit of time to adjust. We were the only guests - we were very well looked after by Dee.
Good attention to detail and very good interior decoration.

An unexpected final present. The hotel is a real "bijou" but the best is Maretha, who manages it with passion and style.

We think that Oyster Bay is undersold. It would make a super relaxing time before facing the rigors of safari camps as well as a place to recover afterwards.
Fantastic location, food, rooms and swimming pool. We found lots to do (visit to fish market, the slipway shopping centre, a super fish restaurant with view over the bay and the disco/restaurant on our last night) especially with the help of Maretha who is first class.
Women will love (but men may not!) the excellent local jewellers and the tanzanite rings!

Heavenly comfort
Our room was gorgeous. The hotel has been beautifully furnished with an eye for detail and great style.
We would have stayed another day there very happily. It was the perfect place to de-stress and start to believe we were actually on holiday! We were pampered by the staff and very well fed!
If we ever return to Tanzania, we will definitely make Oyster Bay our starting point.

We stayed at Oyster Bay the first night in Dar before heading to the Selous and then again on our way home and we can't say enough about it.
Best food we ate on our trip - and meals that were comparable to any great restaurant in New York (the highest complement this New York foodie can give).
Beautiful accomodations. Excellent service. This place really stood out!
