Kirurumu Ngorongoro Lodge: Our full report

Kirurumu Ngorongoro is a new tented camp situated near the Ngorongoro Crater. It's the sister camp to the existing Kirurumu Manyara and Kirurumu Tarangirecamps, and enjoys a similar comfortable and simple set-up.

Expert Africa hasn't yet had a chance to visit this new camp, but this is what we know about it:

There are 7 tents at Kirurumu Ngorongoro, which can be either twin or double bedded. Each cream tent has a luggage rack, table, safari chairs, solar lighting and an en-suite bathroom. Although not overly luxurious, they look relatively stylish and certainly comfortable.

You'll also find a campfire where guests will meet for a pre-dinner drink, before moving on to the dining tent for their meals.

Our view

Kirurumu Ngorongoro has a fantastic near the Ngorongoro Crater and in a scenic area dotted with Maasai villages. It's a good option for those who want something a bit more rustic, a little off the beaten track, and more intimate than the Serenas and Sopas, but without the price tag of the Crater Lodge.
