Saadani Safari Lodge is situated in the Saadani National Park on the Indian Ocean coast
Saadani Safari Lodge: Our full report
Saadani Safari Lodge is located in the Saadani National Park on the shores of the Indian Ocean. Its situation offers a wonderful combination of bush and beach – all in one location.
The beach is directly outside the front of your room, with the bush directly behind it, making this an ideal place to relax on the beach or by the pool as well as to explore the Park's scenery and wildlife.
Saadani Safari Lodge has 9 tented chalets, each with en-suite bathroom with views overlooking the Indian Ocean.
Activities here vary from game drives and walks (which start in the bush and end on the beach!) to boating on the Wami River passing crocodiles on the banks and pods of hippo.
The lodge also supports a local turtle project that protects nests along the coast.
Saadani Safari Lodge is a good place to stay for a gentle game experience and is easily combined with the more serious game areas of the Selous Game Reserve and Ruaha National Park.
