These camps offer a very authentic taste of safari in two very different parks – it's a trip of exploration of these two fascinating areas, both boast a high concentration of wildlife.
Starting at London Heathrow in the evening, your scheduled Kenya Airways
flight, flies overnight directly to Dar es Salaam.

4 nights at Mdonya Old River Camp (full board & activities) | Ruaha National Park, Tanzania
After arriving early in Dar es Salaam you will be met and driven to the domestic departures terminal for your flight to Ruaha National Park. On landing at Msembe Airstrip an open-topped 4WD will take you on to the rustic and charming Mdonya Old River Camp. Mdonya retains a very natural atmosphere, and during your 4 nights stay here, you are likely to see plenty of game pass through the camp.
3 nights at Selous Impala Camp (full board & activities) | Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania
It's about a 90-minute flight to the dramatic scenery of the Selous. There you'll be met and you will begin to take in the differences, and similarities of the flora and fauna of the two parks. The wildlife is slightly different, and the Rufiji River that runs through the reserve gives the area a very different feel. You'll be met and taken to the delightful Selous Impala Camp. This stylish camp includes walking safaris, game drives and boat trips, and you'll stay here for 3 nights to explore the reserve with the camp's enthusiastic guides.
After your last morning safari, you fly to Dar es Salaam. There you can either continue onto an add-on trip, perhaps a beach holidays in Zanzibar
, or maybe take a short overnight stop in Dar es Salaam
prior to connecting with an early-morning Kenya Airways
flight back to London.
