Jackal safari: In full
Taking a holiday on the Jackel safari envolves visits to two of the leading camps in southern Tanzania – the owner-run Mwagusi Camp, in a remote corner of the Ruaha National Park, and the excellent Beho Beho Camp, in the Selous Game Reserve; both are great camps, albeit different. There's a real contrast between the parks' ecosystems, which gives varied safari opportunities – some of the very best in the whole of southern Tanzania.
Day 1Departing in the evening from London Heathrow, your scheduled overnight Kenya Airways flight flies directly to Dar es Salaam.
(See our page on flights to Tanzania for more detailed flight information and suggestions.)
You have 4 nights here to explore this enormous park – in the company of Chris Fox’s excellent team of enthusiastic wildlife guides.
This is currently one of Africa's best camps, with high standards of comfort and top-notch guiding. You can choose between a range of first class safari activities including drives, walking safaris and boat trips.
Day 9After your last morning on safari, it's a short flight (about 45 minutes) to Dar es Salaam, which is the hub for many flights around Tanzania. Then either continue onto the second part of your trip, perhaps a beach holiday to Zanzibar, or maybe just stop overnight in Dar in order to connect with an early-morning flight back to London with Kenya Airways.
