For a very relaxing and quiet beach getaway, spend 3 nights in the beautiful Ras Kutani lodge which is only a short distance from Dar es Salaam. Stay in one of the twelve reed-and-thatch chalets and lie in your hammock looking out over the lagoon or the sea, at this idyllic beachfront location.

This trip includes transfers from and back to Dar es Salaam, but no international flights. It is designed to add onto the end of one of our Tanzania safaris to create a great trip with two very separate parts: a bush safari and a beach break.

Days 1-3

3 nights at Ras Kutani (full board & activities) | Ras Kutani area, Tanzania

After finishing your chosen safari hop onto a light aircraft back to Dar es Salaam where your driver will meet you and take you on to your beach break. During this 90-minute journey you pass through many farming and fishing villages, which give a wonderful insight into traditional African life before arriving at Ras Kutani. Have a peaceful time at this quiet getaway, which does not offer sophisticated activities; so there are no jet skis or speed and diving boats, resulting in a lovely quiet beach. Instead indulge in a soothing massage, go on a fishing trip or canoe around the lagoon.

From Ras Kutani, transfer back to Dar es Salaam Airport for your onward Kenya Airways flight.
