This great-value safari to southern Tanzania's Selous Game Reserve spends 5 nights at one of the very best locations in the park – beside the beautiful permanent Rufiji River at Rufiji River Camp; there is plenty of time to enjoy safaris by open 4WD and on foot, as well as to make the most of the boat trips – there's even an option to spend one or two nights' fly-camping out in the bush.
Day 1
Starting from London Heathrow, your scheduled Kenya Airways flies directly overnight to Dar es Salaam, beside the Swahili Coast of Tanzania.Days 2-6
5 nights at Rufiji River Camp (full board & activities) | Selous Game Reserve, Tanzania
Landing early in Dar es Salaam, you are driven the short distance to the domestic terminal where you hop on a light aircraft. After a 45-minute flight to Selous Game Reserve, you land at Mtemere Airstrip and drive for a further 10 minutes to start your 5-night safari at Rufiji River Camp. Usually arriving in time for lunch, your safari includes activities 4x4 game drives, walking safaris and boat trips on the Rufiji River, and the lakes which are linked to it; all with very experienced safari guides.Day 7
