This fantastic 6 night fly-in safari allows you to spend time in two of the most famous areas of the northern circuit: the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti National Park, both of which are known for their stunning landscape and wonderful game viewing opportunities. High quality, luxury lodges are used in this itinerary which add to the enjoyment of the game experience.
If you want to catch the great migration in the Serengeti, then ideal timing for staying at Grumeti River Camp would be during the months of April and July, as the migration generally moves towards and within the Western Corridor then.
Day 1
Depart London Heathrow on a scheduled British Airways overnight flight, for Lake Manyara Airport via Dar es Salaam.Days 2-3
2 nights at Ngorongoro Crater Lodge (full board & activities) | Ngorongoro Crater, Tanzania
Arrive at Manyara airport mid-morning, where a superior guide will meet and drive you to the border of the Ngorongoro Crater. You will spend 2 nights at the opulent Ngorongoro Crater Lodge. This is a decadent and very luxurious lodge where pampering is top of the bill. The views of the Ngorongoro Crater are quite beautiful and each room has its own veranda from which to enjoy them. From here you will drive down into the Ngorongoro Crater where you will spend time enjoying the caldera and will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the animal life down there.Days 4-5
2 nights at Grumeti River Camp (full board & activities) | Serengeti Migration Area, Tanzania
In the morning after breakfast, catch a light aircraft to the western area of the Serengeti, Grumeti where your driver will meet you. Meander back to camp, stopping to see any interesting game you pass on your way. Then arrive in time for a lovely lunch at Grumeti Camp. Explore the surrounding area and if you're there at the right time be sure to see if you can catch a crossing of the Grumeti River.Day 6
After your last morning on safari, fly to Kilimanjaro Airport and then either continue onto one of our beach holiday add-ons, or connect with your evening Kenya Airways flight to London via Nairobi.Day 7
