Beho Beho Bush Camp
Bush Camp was a really special experience which we'll remember forever. Having an elephant visit us in the shower was incredible and dining by the campfire under the stars was amazing.
The walks to and from the camp were hot but fantastic - and the complimentary bottle of champagne was a lovely surprise (even if we were too tired to drink it that night!).
Don't miss a night at Beho Beho bush camp
A gentle walk carefully avoiding hippo hyena and elephant took us to a luxury tent, the heavy rain inthe night added to the experience.
An early morning walk with lots of emerging flying termites gave an abundance of bird life.
A cooked breakfast and a walk back to Beho Beho with Sacha ended a memorable experience.
Get close to nature in style!
My one night fly camping was designed to help experience Selous away from the luxury and comfort of the Lodge. It was an excellent experience, close to nature with lots of noises and sounds that you would not otherwise hear.
We walked into the camp. Our walk was hampered because of the heavy rains and muddy conditions - it was harder work than I thought it might be. But the final stages through thick bush with elephants nearby and then onto the dry river bed made it all worthwhile. I recommend it.
The camp itself was brilliant. The dinner setting in the river bed was special, the tent was very, very comfortable and not in any sense 'roughing it". Do it. You will love it!
Beho Beho fly-camping review
This was good fun without losing the feel of luxury.
It was remarkable that it happened at all as the riverbed was a torrent of water 36 hours previously! Well done to the staff for managing to put it all in place for us.
