Well located lodge, central Serengeti
A well located lodge in central Serengeti, comfortable rooms, hot showers and good views with wildlife right outside the bedroom windows. The hyrax and baboons can be noisy through the night though!
No electricity from midnight to 5.30am which will not be a problem for the vast majority of guests. Large dining room and bar, food buffet style and reasonable. Didn't try the pool, too busy animal spotting. Possible to reach the Mara river for river crossings.
One or two nights recommended.
Lobo Wildlife Lodge review
Lobo Wildlife Lodge is in a fantastic location with great views. The buildings are impressive, especially the bar area. Staff were friendly, even if service at dinner was a little confused at times.
The various animals living around the lodge provided entertainment, although we were glad the monkeys only ran over the roof on one night. The food wasn't very good though, lots of choice, but most of it either very bland or sickly sweet.
Lobo Wildlife Lodge review
A strange place - fabulous location but quite a big Lodge with very few guests - perhaps because not many people come this far up the Serengeti. Probably also because it is badly managed although the waiters, kitchen staff and evening piano/guitar player were lovely and excellent with our children (serious people may not appreciate the guitar player!).
Food very basic
Quite a lot of noisy construction work while we were there and our son was sick after swimming in the pool (on a closer look it was easy to see why....it was full of pond life)
Great area for wildlife though - serval, cheetah and leopard all seen near the Lodge
