The Serengeti is home to huge numbers of animals: over a million wildebeests...
Olakira Lamai Camp: Our full report
Olakira Lamai Camp is the new sister camp to Olakira and is very similar in style and design. Unlike Olakira Camp, however, Olakira Lamai Camp does not currently move positions during the year. It is situated in an area called the Lamai Wedge, above the Mara River and below the border with Kenya.
Expert Africa have not yet visited this camp, but here is what we know about it:
This camp will be open from 1st July - 31st October, and will only offer "game package rates" - so you must fly into camp rather than arrive with your own driver.
There will be eight tents at Olakira Lamai Camp - all with their own en-suite bathrooms and comfortable beds. We expect that the quality and service at this camp will be of a similar high level as its sister camps.
Our View
We're confident that Olakira Lamai will be a very well run camp, in a coveted location in the northern Serengeti - a great base to see the migration from July to October. Ask us for more information on this camp.Geographics
