Once in a lifetime experience

Tanzania between 1 Nov 2013 and 10 Nov 2013

Trip rating: Excellent
"I am almost lost for words about how amazing our trip to southern Tanzania was. It far exceeded our expectations in terms of accommodation and the game viewing and we wished we could stay much longer.

It was an expensive trip for us but worth every penny.

Elizabeth and James booked our trip for us and it was very well planned. What I really appreciated was that they took into account our very strict budget and still went out of their way to help us. I have found some agencies become rather reluctant to help you once they realise you will not be purchasing all the optional extras and need to stay within budget but I never felt that with Expert Africa.

I hope to book with them again in the future and would recommend without hesitation."

Lake Manze Adventure Camp

Lake Manze Adventure Camp

"Amazing experience at Lake Manze camp"

3 nights Arrived 2 Nov 2013
"The camp far outweighed our expectations. Our tent (number 7) was gorgeous, very secluded and comfortable and how exciting to see Impala, monkeys, and elephants strolling past and hear the hippos in the night.

Waiting staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was lovely (I needed vegetarian food and this was never seen as a problem). The hosts, Trisha and Phil were also friendly and we really liked the way they came around every evening to see how our day had been and discuss the options for the next day.
Our guide (Emmanuel) was excellent - so friendly, approachable and knowledgeable and the experience of seeing all of those animals around us is unforgettable. You have the choice of walking, boat and driving safaris and everything is very organised.

We wished we could have stayed longer and I would recommend this camp to anyone."

Mdonya Old River Camp

Mdonya Old River Camp

"Lovely camp in Ruaha"

3 nights Arrived 5 Nov 2013
"We stayed at this camp in Ruaha after having stayed in it's linked camp in Selous. It was very similar so we knew what to expect.
Our tent (number 6) was clean and comfortable and we often saw Impala, monkeys, and elephants strolling past and hear the hippos in the night.
Waiting staff were particularly friendly and attentive and the food was lovely (I needed vegetarian food and this was never seen as a problem). We especially liked the drinks with other guests around the camp fire each evening.

Our guide (Prosper) was very knowledgeable and the experience of seeing all of those animals around us is unforgettable. You have some flexibility each day about when you go out on game drives although we always chose to go early morning as it is so nice to see the animals then.

We were very lucky not to be bothered too much by the tsetse flies although there were quite a few bees each morning.

It was the end of the dry season and it seemed the camp was far away from where the animals were searching for water to drink so we often had to drive quite far before we would see any animals.

We would recommend this camp."
