"Why go anywhere else, our only comment was that La Gemma is far better than Breezes."

It is worth noting here that La Gemma, another resort on Zanzibar is a high-end five star resort. Breezes is closer to three star but this difference is definitely reflected in the price – Breezes is much more economical and we consider it to be a great value option.

"The wildlife at Selous particularly the bird life was tremendous.
As it was meant to be better than its sister camp manze we were slightly disappointed, We prefered manze that we visited last year."

"Our view is that there are better hotels in Zanzibar.
Swimming in the sea only posible for 3 hours per day at high tide.
Staff are not as interactive as at other hotels such as La Gemma Del Est, i believe now called Diammonds."

Swimming on Zanzibar’s east coast is always heavily affected by the tide, which does go out a long way. All of the hotels and lodges on the east coast have periods during the day where you cannot swim in the sea, but most have a swimming pool to help with this.
Breezes is a great four star resort, which is hard to compare to La Gemma which is a five star resort and also much more expensive. In comparison to other resorts on Zanzibar we do consider Breezes to be excellent value.

The camp Manager Molly was absolutely brilliant, as was his partner Noelle.
Molly had the greatest knowledge of wildlife that we have ever met, and this was our sixth safari."
