Things to see on this map of Kafue National Park

At first glance, you'll see a scattering of camps around quite a large area – reflecting the fact that Kafue is a huge park; it's zambia's biggest national park.

The little clump of markers towards the top-left of the map are the camps on the Busanga Plains, in the north-east of Kafue National Park. Here you'll find Busanga Bushcamp and Musanza - and their more stylish cousins, Shumba and Kapinga.

Look closer and you'll see that all the other camps – Lunga River Lodge in the north-east; Lufupa (2 camps) in the centre; the currently-disused Ntemwa near the plains; and Kaingu in the far south of the park – are all sited near rivers. All stand in lush, green riverine forests where there is shade and rich vegetation.

See our reference map of Kafue National Park for a more pictorial representation of the same area.

If you zoom out from this level even a little, you'll see clearly the slow curves of the Lufupa and Lunga rivers, joining the main Kafue River, which heads south – and where this spreads out around Kaingu Camp.

Click onto any of the markers, and follow the links in the bubbles, for more detailed maps of the locations of the various bushcamps and safari lodges.
