"Romancing by the river"

2 nights Arrived 9 Dec 2009
"We really enjoyed our stay at Sindabezi. It is a fine location and offers super accommodation, comfortable and well-appointed. We were extremely well looked after by Matilda, Given and the team and were especially touched by the efforts to which they went on our second night – a romantic dinner for two by the “mighty Zambezi”. The food is the best we've had at any of the camps we've stayed at over the past four trips.

Our guide Lawrence was equally excellent. This is a great place for birds and we found and identified plenty on our gentle river cruises thanks to his expertise - the highlight being the African Finfoot.

Our day-trip to Zimbabwe to see the Victoria Falls was well worthwhile. The logistics worked very smoothly – including around our add-on of lunch at the Victoria Falls Hotel – and our guide at the Falls, Max, did a great job.

We should also note that we were extremely well looked after getting from Livingstone into Botswana for the next leg of our trip.

Because of the brevity or our stay and our foray into Zimbabwe, we didn't take advantage of much of what Tongabezi/Sindabezi has to offer. But what we did do there we really enjoyed and we would have no hesitation in recommending the two camps to others." See all these reviews: 10n in Botswana; 2n in Zambia

"Sindabezi review"

2 nights Arrived 27 Jun 2008
"The experience was very good. We would have liked to have seen the Falls from the Zimbabwe side - vehicles were crossing the bridge, so this should have been possible? Adrian remembers that the view from Zim is even more impressive than that from Zam." See all these reviews: 12n in Botswana; 8n in Namibia; 2n in Zambia

"Great start to our honeymoon at Sindabezi"

2 nights Arrived 29 Oct 2007
"We loved the welcome we received at Sindabezi. They were so helpful in providing t-shirts and toiletries when our bags didn't arrive with us - proof of their excellent service.

The guides were knowledgeable and the chefs were excellent.

We do not believe it was part of the planned package but we were upgraded to the Bird House at Tongabezi for our second night - such a great spoil including Forbes our personal valet. Highly recommend a stay here!" See all these reviews: 6n in Botswana; 5n in Mozambique; 2n in Zambia

"Great river camp -fantastic location"

2 nights Arrived 5 Sep 2007
"Sindabezi was great with it island location and great layout.

Real delight to feel "alone on the river" and the morning and evening trips on the Zambezi were magic. Great birding but also some good game sightings.

Camp very well run, tents and facilities good and well maintained to give a bush camp feel with good comfort.

Managers and Staff friendly and working hard to make stay so nice. Guiding excellent with big effort to see and explain." See all these reviews: 7n in Zambia; 6n in Botswana; 2n in Namibia; 2n in South Africa
