Zambezi Sun review
Excellent location literally five minutes walk from the falls. Staff friendly and service good. Room fine and we liked the pool and bar area.
Our only dislike was that there was only the good but expensive three course buffet for evening meal apart from room service; we would have liked something between the two.
Excellent base for the Falls
What an amazing location for the falls. we couldn't have asked for better.

upgraded to royal livingstone which was a major result with this being an outstanding hotel, the other hotel was more of a holiday camp

Good 4 star hotel with all the necessary facilities but great location and short walk into the Victoria Falls. Would use again the next time I'm there.
Efficient airport 'pick up' and transfer's through 'wilderness safaris'.
Zambezi Sun was beautiful
We felt we had to pay quite a bit for any meals or drinks except for the complimentary breakfast for the amount we paid to stay there. The rooms were nice but the safes in both rooms did not work and the TV in one of the rooms was not working. My daughter got an electrical shock when she touched a lamp switch that was taped up with black tape.
Overall the rooms were very nice and the facility was very beautiful.

We stayed at the Zambezi Sun purely because of the location and in this respect it was excellent - we could wander down to the falls on our own and it was close the other activities on offer - white water rafting etc. We were not expecting much from the hotel itself but were actually pleasantly surprised - there were a lot of Saga tours and kids but the breakfast was good and the rooms were clean and you can easily eat/drink at the neighbouring Royal Livingstone (which we did) to get away from the tour groups.
The activity centre on site was very helpful in booking activities. If you want to stay close to the falls but do not want to pay the higher prices of the Royal Livingstone then I would definitely recommend the Zambezi Sun. It is not luxury but has everything you need if your focus is more on the falls and the various adrenalin activities on offer in the area.

Very pleasant big hotel - ideal for a short stop over. Loved seeing the zebras in the grounds.

Fabulous location, being only a few minutes walk from the Falls. The service, food and facilities were all very good.
We took a trip to Livingstone Island, arranged through the Activity Centre - that was spectacular and guide was great.
We were at Falls when water level was quite low but they were still magnificent and we were able to get much closer to them at this time of year.

Wished we had gone here first because after the incredibly high standard of accommodation and service on safari no hotel could ever match up. The staff were pleasant and friendly and the hotel was generally what we had expected. We were delighted to be so close to Victoria Falls and able to visit it several times and the hotel gardens were very pretty. We also enjoyed being able to walk into the next door hotel and eat and drink there too as it was even more pretty there.
Only complaints were that the air conditioning in the room was very noisy and mostly ineffectual and the hotel reception couldn't change us a 50 dollar note, which we thought was not great service from such a big hotel. Minor things really though.
