"My Feb 2018 trip"

I visited Botswana and 1 other country between 27 Feb 2018 and 17 Mar 2018
"We had the best time in spite of some hiccups. We went previously in the dry season so it was quite interesting going in the "green" season. We are so glad we did! It was fantastic seeing so many new born animal babies and so many of the birds were in mating plumage which can be so different from regular plumage. We really like the green season best of all!

As for the camps, Wilderness Camps are so well run and maintained. So far we have not seen any camps who can hold a candle to their standard. If we go back a 3rd time to Botswana or any of the other countries that have Wilderness camps...........we will go with Expert Africa and Wilderness Safari Camps.

It was wonderful working with Maruska Adye in New Zealand. We used her 5 years ago and were so delighted to work with her again. We truly appreciate Expert Africa's approach of good common sense when planning a trip and listening to what a customer thinks (ha!) they want versus what is realistic. All documents were spot on and we knew that all details were addressed. It was wonderful to be met by various individuals at the airports as one is never sure where to go in a new airport.

Thank you for a great trip!

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Perhaps letting folks know what kind of power plug can be found in the camps. What is stated on a general query about plugs on the internet does not translate to what the camps have (ie. Bristish plug in Nkwali!)" Read full review: 18 nights in Africa; 9 on a Botswana safari

"Emerald time in Africa every time"

I visited Zambia between 17 Feb 2018 and 5 Mar 2018
"We might have been lucky with the weather, ie a dry Jan/Feb had reduced the grass growth, and our first week was mainly sunny with the second much more expected cloud and thunder storms late afternoon. However we saw as much if not more game and birds than we could have hoped for in the dry season.
The RPS lodges do offer "that extra bit" to guests and from excellent meals, personal issues sorted, and individual attention. A number of our drives were just the two of us and on the walks they were cleverly arranged that some could drop out early and be taken back to camp. We were very happy to walk for four hours which was not to every ones taste.
My, we were sad to go home." Read full review: 16 nights in Africa; 14 on a Zambia safari

"early 30th wedding anniversary trip"

I visited Zambia between 13 Nov 2017 and 16 Nov 2017
"From arranging the trip, which was decided on within a month or two, it was handles with great care, and we were always given alternatives, and possibilities, to tailor the trip around us.

We received our information pack, with our safari trips listed each day, information on the camp and surrounding areas.

This was a great help, as neither of us had been on this type of trip before, and was not quite sure what to expect.

Well we need not have any concerns, everything was as listed, staff were always on hand, information about the camp was given each day at breakfast, it was a fantastic experience from the booking to arriving, The departure was a little sad, as I would not hear my morning Hippo song, and had to leave behind the wonderful staff in the camp.

Suggestions to help us improve our trips or our service:

Please carry on treating us a individual people, It was very pleasant, having a named person to deal with and not being passed around the sales office.

Due to this we felt informed at all times, and Amanda also made us feel our trip was as important to her as it was to us.

Thanks." Read full review: 3 nights in Africa; 3 on a Zambia safari

"Fabulous!"

I visited Zambia and 1 other country between 30 Oct 2017 and 4 Nov 2017
"I found Expert Africa online, and thought the website was very good, and Amanda was very responsive and helpful - but I was still a little nervous about how the holiday would turn out, having never used them before. But my worry turned to delight as everything went off without a hitch and the places we stayed were even better than expected.

The transfers all went fine, with helpful guys to get us through the airports - very nice!

Thank you, I would 100% recommend you to others.

"Wonderful safari in South Luangwa Park"

I visited Zambia and 1 other country between 15 Oct 2017 and 28 Oct 2017
"This was our second safari in South Luangwa Park, after an interval of 4 years. We knew the area to visit, relatively distant from the entrance to the Park, as the game is excellent but the game vehicles few so viewing is really good. With help from Expert Africa's Claire we chose 3 camps and they were all excellent. She encouraged us to include a small bush camp and we were pleased that she did as it was probably the best experience and our apprehension about the open air bathroom was misplaced as it was private and enclosed.

Claire was brilliant because she was able to change our three return flights after we had made our booking, to accommodate a private trip to/from Chipata that we had not been able to firm up initially. All our arrangements went smoothly other than delays caused by the airline - as she had provided the contact details of Expert Africa's ground agents in Nairobi we were able to phone and ensure they waited at the airport while our luggage was located."
