Mnemba Island Lodge: video gallery

Mnemba Island Lodge: picture gallery

Mnemba is a tiny private island…
…just 2km off the northeast coast of Zanzibar.
It is surrounded by swathes of white sandy beach...
...and guests will be sure to receive a warm welcome.
Mnemba's 11 private bandas, are spread out along the island's southern beach.
Each banda is a stylish, open-air chalet...
...with a king sized bed, and opens out...
... onto a large shaded veranda, which has low tables and chairs...
...and a number of comfy sofas.
Behind the bed is a separate wardrobe and dressing area, with dressing table.
At the back of the bedroom is a short, open-air walkway to the suite's private bathroom ...
... which is also elegantly designed, including a large shower...
...with a beautiful beaded curtain...
… and modern twin basins, with mirrors and complementary toiletries.
In front of each banda is a private beach sala...
...and a pair of sun loungers sitting on the pristine beach.
Relax in the beautifully designed lounge...
... dine alfresco on the beach....
...and at the end of the day enjoy a cocktail whilst watching the sunset.
Guests can choose to go sailing in a traditional ngalawa fishing boat...
...kayak over the nearby coral reef...
... take a trip to see the resident pod of bottlenose dolphins...
... or simply go swimming in the azure blue waters.
For a small island Mnemba is home to a lot of wildlife...
... including the rare suni antelope...
... which inhabit the forested interior.
Turtles are often found nesting on its beaches...
... and the seas around the tiny island are clear and full of coral.
