Capsicum beach add-on: In full
After your safari, relax on the tropical island of Zanzibar with this 8 night getaway; spend 4 nights at the small and stylish Unguja Lodge, which has a private and unpretentious feel to it, then enjoy a further 4 nights experiencing the original and friendly Fumba Beach Lodge.
This trip includes transfers from and back to Dar es Salaam, but no international flights. It is designed to add onto the end of one of our Tanzania safaris to create a great trip with two very separate parts: a bush safari and a beach break.
Days 1-4
4 nights at Unguja Lodge (half board) | South-west Zanzibar, Zanzibar
At the end of your time on safari, hop onto a light aircraft to Zanzibar where your driver will meet you and take you on to your relaxing beach break. During this 60-minute journey, drive along palm-tree lined roads and pass through many small villages, which can give you an insight into local Zanzibari life, before arriving at Unguja Lodge. Relax at this quiet beach side location in the south west of Zanzibar for 4 nights. Swim in the turquoise sea, learn to dive in the on-site PADI dive centre, snorkel at the fantastic house reef straight from the beach or go for a village walk.Days 5-8
4 nights at Fumba Beach Lodge (half board) | South-west Zanzibar, Zanzibar
Your driver will collect you from Unguja Lodge and take you on to your next beach location, further north up the coast of Zanzibar. Spend 4 nights at the stylish and original Fumba Beach Lodge. Here there is an infinity pool here where you can cool off during the day and a sunset bar made out of a dhow where you can enjoy evening drinks. Although the beach next to Fumba doesn't have the powder-white sand that you find on the east coast, the beach is still lovely and it's a great lodge which offers it's guests high quality.Day 9
From Fumba, drive to Zanzibar Airport for the short 20 minute flight to Dar, or to catch your main international flight, and continue with your onward journey.See Prices & details for the precise dates/prices for this trip - and all the fine print.
