Relax on the tropical island of Zanzibar with this 8 night getaway; spend 4 nights at the small and stylish Unguja Lodge, which has a private and unpretentious feel to it, followed by a further 4 nights at the luxurious Sultan Palace Hotel.
This trip can either start or finish in Dar es Salaam or London Heathrow depending on which option you choose on the drop down menu below - it can therefore be used as a stand alone beach holiday or alternatively it can be added to one of our Tanzania safaris to create a great trip with two very separate parts: a bush safari and a beach break.
In Dar es Salaam you will need to hop onto a light aircraft to Zanzibar where your driver will meet you and take you on to your relaxing beach resort. During this 60-minute journey, drive along palm-tree lined roads and pass through many small villages, which can give you an insight into local Zanzibari life, before arriving at Unguja Lodge. Spend 4 nights relaxing at this quiet beach side location in the south west of Zanzibar. Swim in the turquoise sea, learn to dive in the on-site PADI dive centre, snorkel at the fantastic house reef straight from the beach or go for a village walk.
Your driver will collect you from Unguja Lodge and take you on to your next beach location, the beautiful and elegant Sultan Palace. Relax at this quiet beach side location in the Michamvi Peninsula of Zanzibar for 4 nights. While enjoying your stay here, you have plenty of time to take a dip in the crystal clear pool, sample the delicious food or just relax on the beach.
From Unguja, drive to Zanzibar Airport for the short 20 minute flight to Dar; you will then be transferred to the international terminal where you will continue onto your overnight Kenya Airways flight back to London.
