For a relaxing getaway, spend 5 nights at the sunny Sunshine Hotel, which has a friendly and relaxed vibe, then enjoy your last 2 nights discovering the exotic sights and smells of Stone Town, based centrally at the intimate and boutique Kholle House.
This trip includes flights from and back to Dar es Salaam, but no international flights. It is designed to add onto the end of one of our Tanzania safaris to create a diverse trip with two separate parts: a bush safari and a beach break.
Days 1-5
5 nights at Sunshine Hotel (half board) | East Coast Zanzibar, Zanzibar
After finishing your chosen safari, connect with a 20 minute domestic flight from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar Airport. Meet your driver and head straight for the east coast of the island, where you will find the wonderful beaches, crystal clear waters and Sunshine Hotel. Enjoy a 5 night stay in this small and sociable lodge – perfect for long beachcombing walks, sitting back and relaxing in comfy loungers on the beach or meeting a few fellow travellers, especially in the popular bar area!Days 6-7
2 nights at Kholle House (bed & breakfast) | Stone Town, Zanzibar
A car will collect you for the fascinating drive across the middle of the island to Stone Town. Looking out of the window you will pass through rural villages where you can get a snapshot of local life in Zanzibar, before arriving at Stone Town and the high quality Kholle House. Stay for 2 nights at this excellent small hotel, which is situated in the heart of Stone Town; it's the ideal base for you to discover the Old Town on foot. Day 8
