Spend 4 nights at the newly-reopened Sultan Palace which has a fantastic location on top of a cliff overlooking the sea, before heading to Stone Town for 2 nights staying at the atmospheric Kholle House.
This trip includes flights from and back to Dar es Salaam, but no international flights. It is designed to add onto the end of one of our Tanzania safaris to create a longer and more diverse trip with two separate parts: a bush safari and a beach break.
Days 1-4
4 nights at Sultan Palace (full board) | Michamvi Peninsula, Zanzibar
From your safari it's a short 20 minute flight from Dar es Salaam to Zanzibar, where you will be met and transferred across to the south of the island to the Michamvi Peninsula. Here your home for the next 4 nights is the beautiful and elegant Sultan Palace. While enjoying your stay here, you have plenty of time to take a dip in the crystal clear pool, sample the delicious food or just relax on the beach.Days 5-6
2 nights at Kholle House (bed & breakfast) | Stone Town, Zanzibar
You will be collected from Sultan Palace and driven back across the island, passing through rural villages, spice farms and rice paddies on the way to Stone Town, where you will stay in the authentic Kholle House. Here you will stay for 2 nights among the fascinating lanes and mosques of Stone Town. Kholle House is decorated in an interesting Zanzibari style and even has a pool.Day 7
