Mahenye Safari Lodge: Our full report
Mahenye Safari Lodge is located on the northeastern border of Gonarezhou National Park on an island in the Save River – it's the sister-camp of the nearby Chilo Gorge Safari Lodge.
Mahenye Safari Lodge consists of 8 twin thatched units made out of local wood and woven reeds. Each room has its own balcony, a fan and an en-suite bathroom with a shower.
The communal area of Mahenye Safari Lodge as a dining area, a bar and a swimming pool with views over the Save River.
Activities offered from the lodge include walking safaris with fully licensed professional guides, game drives, bird watching, visits to a local village and trips to the Chilojo Cliffs. Boat cruises on the Save River are available during the wet season.
