Kanga Safari Add-on: In full
This add-on spends 3 nights at Kanga Bushcamp in a remote location in Mana Pools National Park followed by 3 nights at Zambezi Lifestyles on the banks of the Zambezi River. This trip includes transfers to and from Lusaka and is a great way to get a feel for the Mana Pools National Park while on safari in Zambia. This trip would be suited to those who are reasonably fit and in search of adventure and close encounters with wildlife.
Days 1-3
3 nights at Kanga Bush Camp (full board & activities) | Mana Pools National Park, Zimbabwe
You'll be collected in the morning from Lusaka and driven along the Great South Road, before turning off and heading to Chirundu, a journey which takes two hours. Here you will cross the border into Zimbabwe and be met by a new vehicle for the next transfer (of about four hours) to Vundu Camp. The remoteness and inaccessibility of this camp gives you a feeling of real exclusivity, allowing you to have Mana Pools' diverse range of habitats to yourself. Days 4-6
3 nights at Zambezi Life Styles (full board & activities) | Mana Pools National Park, Zimbabwe
Following your time at Kanga you'll be transferred by your guide, at game drive pace, to your next camp Zambezi lifestyle. This timeless camp offers guests a taste of mobile safaris of old without the camp ever actually moving. You really know you're in the bush when sleeping under canvas on the banks of the Zambezi River. Life Styles contains just 6 twin bedded tents which are all decorated in a classic safari style. The real attraction to this area however is of course the stunning surroundings and the top-quality guiding. With your 'Zim-Pro' guide you'll explore the area by canoe and on foot. You'll be able to get further afield on 4WD game-drives from camp. Day 7
On your last day, you will awake by the river and then after breakfast be driven back through the park to Chirundu. Here you'll be collected for the drive back up the great Zambezi Escarpment back to Lusaka, from where you'll continue your trip in Africa or head back home.See Prices & details for the precise dates/prices for this trip - and all the fine print.
